Keep Calm and Carry On is a motivational poster made by the British government in 1939 in preparation for World War II. The poster was meant to keep everyone positive because England was threatened with air strikes on large cities. Although 2.45 million copies were printed, the poster was rarely shown publicly and was hardly known until one was rediscovered in 2000. It has since been reissued by a number of private companies and used in a variety of ways.
